Hampton looks across the river Avon to the town of Evesham, and is these days incorporated into the town, though as well as Bengeworth it was formerly a village in its own right.
Hampton was well known for its market gardens, and it was only in the latter half of the 20th century that this economic mainstay came to an end.
Hampton still has its 'growers', and some remaining orchards, which are mainly of plums, but also other delicious fruits.
